Optional early bird driving tours in the local area. Visit a local waterfall, ostrich farm, the beach, and other attractions within the small towns of the area, including local wineries and distilleries. Early evening welcome party with a buffet dinner on the hotel terrace. Reconnect with your Pierce-Arrow friends and kick off the fun week ahead!

We’ll take a short tour up a beautiful canyon road to the small town of Los Olivos. Stop here to visit local shops, with easy parking and an optional visit to a lavender farm. After milling about in Los Olivos, we’ll tour up another beautiful canyon road to a local winery for a private wine-tasting and luncheon for our group. At the winery we’ll park our Pierce-Arrows along the vineyard road with a beautiful golden hill backdrop. Then we will tour back down through Los Olivos and Solvang via different roads. Dinner will be on your own this evening in any of the local towns - Los Olivos, Solvang, or Buellton, all within a few miles of the meet hotel.

Take a leisurely drive via beautiful backroads up to the town of Santa Maria. Here we will have the option to tour the Santa Maria Museum of Flight or continue on to the coast to see Rancho Guadalupe Sand Dunes Preserve (Note: this is a potentially sandy road. So keep that in mind when choosing your registration preferences for Wednesday’s activities). After that we’ll have lunch at a beautiful private residence with a car collection and a petroliana and automobilia collection. There will be a beautiful flat lawn to park all of our Pierce-Arrows together for a fun photo opportunity. We’ll have a boxed lunch here and then tour back to our meet hotel via more backroads, some of which will be familiar from the previous day’s touring. This evening we’ll have a planned group dinner at the world-renown Mendenhall Museum with continuous shuttle service to and from the hotel throughout the evening. We’ll have drinks and a Santa Maria Style BBQ dinner amongst the extensive collection, with lighting of all the neon and petroliana after sunset.

Tour out to the beach via some country roads with a donut stop at the beach next to the Vandenberg Space Force Base and a view of the launchpad. From there we’ll tour up a beautiful canyon road to the little town of Los Alamos, where we’ll visit historic buildings, gas stations, and antique stores. In Los Alamos you’ll have the freedom to explore numerous places for lunch on your own, including two restaurants located inside old gas stations. This evening we’ll have our traditional ladies’ and gentlemen’s events, and the Swap Meet. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Our car show will be in the heart of Solvang, adjacent to their beautiful park in the center of town, for all the local residents and tourists to enjoy. Surrounding us in the town center will be numerous restaurants, shops and bakeries as well as the Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum. Getting lunch on your own here will be a breeze and very enjoyable, as walking around this Danish-style historic town is entertainment in itself! This evening we will have a nice leisurely cocktail hour and our traditional awards banquet at the hotel.

Optional Hangover Tour - For those interested in a world renown French automotive collection, we’ll take a tour of the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, CA. We can drive our own modern cars there or have the option to take a private motor coach with return to the hotel by mid-afternoon. There will be a planned lunch for the group on this tour.
